Performance Hall

Perform in our upstairs performance hall and you'll understand the difference between a performance hall and a bar.

Typical Bar Performance Hall
The stage is an afterthought (if it's actually a stage at all). Usually, it's stuffed in a corner and sometimes not aligned well with the audience. The 260 square foot stage is much bigger than the bar. It's 16 inches off the floor, giving the audience and good view of the band, and the band a good view of the crowd.
The acoustics run from good to downright terrible. The hall is aligned longer than wider, so your sound knows just where to go. There are no harsh surfaces to echo. The sound flows right out into the Skylight Lounge.
The band is there to sell more alcohol. The band is highlight of the evening. Our bar is here to keep the audience refreshed.
Bar managers can be surly with performers. You are why we are here. We are here to connect you with your fans. You and your music is what it's all about.

The Performance Hall can be set up in three configurations. With tables and chairs, the capacity is 50-60 people. With chairs set up auditorium style, the capacity is 100-110 persons. The room capacity is about 150 with standing room only.

The Performance Hall is currently available only to bands associated with the building with a capacity of 50 persons. However, early this fall, the performance should open for all performers and the public.
